Liquid Silicone Molding Process

Definition:Liquid silicone rubbers are supplied in barrels. Because of their low viscosity, A and B rubberscan be pumped through pipelines and tubes to the vulcanization equipment. The two componentsare pumped through a static mixer by a metering pump in 1:1 ratio. From the metering section ofthe iniection molding machine, the compound is pushed through runner systems into a heated cavity where the vulcanization takes place.

Scope of use:Typical applications for liquid silicone rubber are products that require high precision such asseals, sealing membranes, electric connectors, multi-pin connectors, intant products wheresmooth surfaces are desired, such as bottle nipples, medical applications as well as kitchen goodssuch as baking pans,spatulas,etc.
